Blog EntryTomorrow's the day!May 2, '08 11:23 PM
for everyone
I'm posting now while I'm waiting for the rice to be cooked because I won't have time to post tomorrow.

Finally, I'm leaving for Singapore tomorrow night. My flight's at 7pm but I'll be leaving Mitaka at 1:30. Bought a ticket for the Odakyu Limousine Bus which goes straight from Kichijoji to Narita Airport. Cost 3,000yen but that okay compared to the number of transfers I need to do if I take the train. Not to mention I'm lugging a stroller half my size + my laptop. 楽だもん。

Why leave at 1:30 when the appointed time for check-in still at 5pm? You see, I have this tendency to get lost easily. Or do something wrong in the process so I have go back to a place or whatever. Either way, I need lots of time to go around Narita Airport. I remember the day of my departure for Japan, the lady at JAL's check-in counter didn't give me an embarkation card so after queueing up for more than ten minutes in the Immigration part, I had to go back and get an embarkation card and fill it out and queue up again.o(>_<)o So yeah, I can't remember who told me this, but I think it's Ali, "you need plenty of time to get lost."

Yesterday, went around Tokyo to buy stuff for friends. I stopped by the post office on the way to the station to send Mothers' Day (May 11) cards. I went to Shinjuku first for Ate Mia's artbook, but unfortunately, Books Kinokuniya ran out of stock. So I just decided to look for Gift Gate to buy Pam's Keroppi something. I wasn't able to find a pencil, but I hope she'll like what I bought for her. Next stop was Ikebukuro, to buy stuff for Ann, Triccie and Ate Mia. I was able to buy a Namame (Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden) stuffed toy!:3 I love that character to bits so I bought it.XD Went back to Mitaka and bought 2000yen worth of chocolates for Terry's aunt and some snacks for our trip. Last on the list was 100yen shop to buy those rough bath towels for my mother.:P 私はけっちで~す。XD

Now I'm supposed to finish packing. And I'm supposed to tidy up my room because people are going to remove the old air-conditioning unit and replace it with a new one.(*u*)/ They're doing the renovation on the 7th so I'm not here. I. NEED. TO. TIDY. UP. MY. MESSY. ROOM. *dies*

So everyone, I'll be gone for a week.( ^o^)/~ Will take lots of pictures in Singapore and Malaysia.:DDD

for everyone
Here I am, in Mitaka Ryou in Mitaka City, Tokyo, Japan. Too many firsts in two days.

Flight

My first time in an airport. My first time boarding a plane. Alone.
I love landing more than taking off. That's all I can say.

Night One

Arrived in Narita at around 7:25. Too many foreigners. Was able to go out at around 7:50. A Massu-look alike was holding the AIKOM placard.

Two-hour drive to Mitaka Ryou.

Orientation: Giving the key to my room. Arranging everything Mhel-senpai left me. Unpacking some of my clothes.

Watching Terry's AVP, and crying... a lot.

All these while having a migraine attack.

Day One

Woke up at 8:30am to start unpacking everything I brought. Then took a bath and went to the Common Hall for our Alien Registration and National Health Insurance Registration. Walked to Mitaka City Hall. Randomly said "onaka suita" and Beatrice, the Korean who came from Michigan, laughed and said, "kawai sou" while patting my head. Yes, my last meal was from the plane. That was around 3pm.

Ate lunch at some cheap restaurant. Oishikatta. Sorekara, went back to Mitaka Ryou for our tour to Mitaka-dai Station. Went biking!(^o^)/ Took about 30 minutes to get to the station where we're supposed to take the train to Komaba Todai. Also took the safest route, meaning took too many turns in how many corners. Too much for me to remember in one go. I have the smallest bicycle, though.:3

Then went shopping at the nearest 100 Yen Shop. Bought a lot of cleaning materials since I have to clean the things senpai left me. Self-service. Bah. You have to put everything you bought in the plastic bag yourself.

Tried connecting to the Internet and woot! Here I am.  Still unfinished arranging the winter clothes from senpai, but I've pretty much arranged everything here in my room.

We're going to Komaba Campus tomorrow, which means we're going by train!;P Oh, and our Japanese Language Placement Test is tomorrow, too, so I have to review my Jap 10-12.

I hope I can still see you guys after a year. Take care always.

Minna...

Ittekimasu! Wish me luck in Japan!^_^

P.S. I will now be plugging my Multiply account, Ai no Kodomo.^^ I've been using it for a while now (for our Reborn! cosplay group), but it wll now serve its true purpose (lol). Anyway, feel free to add me.:D

P.P.S. I may not go online next week, mainly because I'm not sure yet when I'll be able to use Toudai's net connection and also because of all the activities lined up for us AIKOM students right after we land. But I promise to go online as soon as I can.

So yeah, again...
